Matthew Cattlet, of North Las Vegas, died March 5, 2015, of blunt force and compression injuries caused by an automatic gate at the entry way to the community where he lived.
Local police spokeswoman Chrissie Coon said the boy was playing in the space between the fence and the gate operator’s swing arm when another child on a bike triggered an opening device, causing the fence leaf to open and pin the boy.
