Description

The Model 1877 is used to protect telephone equipment from surges on the incoming telephone line. The surge suppressor may be sacrificed during an extreme power spike to protect the equipment. Protection is provided from tip to ground, ring to ground and tip to ring. The clamping voltage is approximately 200 volts. Surge suppressors are designed to provide additional protection to equipment in areas prone to voltage spikes and surges.
