DoorKing has introduced a new 14′ long aluminum barrier arm that is octagonal in shape, includes a built-in reversing edge and is compatible with the company’s 1600-series barrier gate operators. The arm can be ordered with built-in two-color LED lighting. In the down position, the LEDs are red and turn to green when the arm rotates to the up position.

Lighted barrier arms are becoming the standard in the parking industry. The LEDs changing from red to green when the arm rotates to the up position sends a clear signal to drivers when it is safe to drive through the lane. The built-in reversing edge and LED lights, combined with DoorKing’s loop logic pedestrian awareness circuits, greatly enhance the safety of barrier gate operations.
